Karachi is all set to take part in the global ‘One Run’ half-marathon taken place by Hero League now for the second time on this Saturday, organisers said.
Organizers said more than 2000 runners, local and from abroad, are expected to participate. The race will have 4 different distances of race runs; 1km, 5km, 10km, and the half-marathon run of 21.1km. The event will be held on the scenic Emaar Route by the coast, starting from the Emaar Sales Centre.
The ‘One Run’ race in Karachi is organized by Hero League and invites participants from family-oriented to professional athlete levels, showing inclusivity with participation for everyone.
The first ‘One run’ event held in Pakistan was in 2024, it started the pace for Pakistan’s growing participation in global sporting events.
Even though Karachi has its own version of the marathon, the Russian marathon will have about 180,000 runners participate in its ninth edition. Globally, approximately 40,000 runners from over 20 different countries – including India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Nepal, Lebanon, and Brazil – are participating in the event.
