The BCCI is ready to announce its verdict on the return of the Indian Premier League 2025 after evaluating a variety of timing options. As of Monday, the governing council for IPL is preparing to confirm a timetable for bringing the tournament to completion.

As there are still 16 matches and four play-offs left to complete, the BCCI has developed three plans to restart the tournament. Three main options are being evaluated by the BCCI: a regular home-and-away system, along with two proposals that prioritize fewer venues, mostly in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

The league’s officials are proving tenacious in their attempt to finish the tournament under extraordinary challenges. The tournament may start as soon as May 16 or 17, as sources say BCCI has hinted to teams to gather at their home venues. One of the main problems is the uncertain return of overseas players who departed recently.

Even though there are logistical obstacles, the BCCI intends to see the tournament finished as planned. The Governing Council is prepared to meet rapidly, highlighting the BCCI’s quick response to sporting issues that are without parallel.
