Sindh Schools to Close on March 22 for Youm e Ali Observance

Sindh Education Department has declared that all educational institutions across the province would be closed on Saturday, March 22, for Youm-e-Ali, honoring the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA) on the 21st day of Ramadan.

In the official notification, it has been stated that all relevant public and private schools coming under the purview of the School Education and Literacy Department will observe a holiday on this day.


The decision has been deferred following the recommendations of the sub-committee of the steering committee on education under Sindh.

Youm-e-Ali is observed every 21st of Ramadan, when huge processions take place across the country in commemoration of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA).
