India will be hosting the Kho Kho World Cup for the first time in history between January 13 and January 19, 2025. The tournament’s main event will be the Indian-Pakistani match on January 13 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.
The week-long championship will see 24 countries in action including power houses such as USA, England, Germany, Australia and Brazil. The tournament will be comprised of both men and women and will have a knockout basis with the finals scheduled on January 19. A total of 615 players and 125 support staff will be part of this mega event and matches will be played in two venues Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium and Noida Indoor Stadium.
Indian players are in preparation mode and the current national camp includes 120 players, of which 60 are male and 60 are female players at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. More details about the streaming platform have not been disclosed. The organization of the event consists of quarterfinals held on January 17, semis on January 18 and the finals.
