This showed how important it is to have batsmen stay together and keep scoring in the middle overs.

The pitch was a bit difficult with some moisture and uneven bounce. But Babar said these pitch issues were not excuses for their poor batting. He said the team needs to be professional and adjust their game to whatever pitch conditions they get. Pakistan players must be able to look at the pitch carefully and change how they bat based on if the pitch is bouncy or spinning a lot.

During the Super Over, the USA faced Pakistan’s bowler Mohammad Amir and scored 18-1. In response, Pakistan could only score 13-1, falling short by five runs, and thus losing the match.

The USA team played carefully when they batted. Their captain Monank Patel scored the most runs. He made 50 runs before getting out to Pakistan’s bowler Mohammad Amir. As the game reached the end, the USA needed 21 runs from the last 12 balls. Amir bowled a good over, giving away just six runs, leaving 15 runs to be defended in the final over.

Haris Rauf bowled the last over, but the situation turned against him. After being hit for a six on his fourth ball, the USA needed six runs from the last two balls. On the final delivery, with five runs required, Nitish Kumar scored a four, tying the scores and forcing the Super Over.

A Wake-up Call for Pakistan

The loss against USA was bad, but it helped wake up the Pakistani team. It showed them things they need to get better at. It also showed how important it is to stay focused and play properly the whole match.
