Maryam Nawaz join Prisoners in Kot Lakhpat Jail for Aftari

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz recently did something remarkable. She went to Central Jail Lahore in Kot Lakhpat and had her Iftar meal with women prisoners. She attended the iftar meal as a guest but she chose to support them by joining in their meal. She also give them gifts, clothes and financial help.

In a video shared by Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, we saw Maryam Nawaz sharing samosas, pakoras, fruits and other food items with the women prisoners. She also took a tour of the jail and even planted a tree in its gardens. She went to the cell where her father, Nawaz Sharif, was once kept and it brought back emotional memories for her.

Maryam Nawaz didn’t just stop there. She also talked to the prisoners to understand their issues and problems. She even inaugurated a 20-bed hospital in the jail to help Drug addicts with their Rehabilitation. she also opened up a video call facility for prisoners. Thi video call facility will be very helpful for them.

During her visit, Maryam Nawaz also made sure to check the quality of food being prepared for the prisoners in the jail kitchen. She was accompanied by former Senator Pervez Rasheed, Provincial Minister for Information & Culture Azma Bokari, and other high-ranking officials.

Maryam Nawaz’s take action to help people who are in need and try to connect with the audience. She joins prisoners for their Iftar meal and implements measures to enhance their well-being, She sets a Commendable precedent for fellow Leaders. It’s a reminder for all that extending kindness and support to everyone is important, specially in the month of Ramadan.
