GAAC, United Arab Emirates based leading company signed the third and final contract with Taliban government in order to take over three major airports in Afghanistan for upgrade and modernizing purpose.
The UAE holding will make significant investments in the infrastructure of three airports in Afghanistan for making it more latest and advanced in Technology.

The Aviation sector of Afghanistan faced some serious challenges from past few years and the Airports of country were damaged. After the damage and loss, many international airlines suspended their services from the country.
GAAC contribution in Afghanistan Aviation
The UAE based holding GAAC stepped in and signed a deal to restore all the functions on airport and ensuring the safety first plan. The company made an urgent agreement with Taliban government of Worth USD 641,000 for equipments, facility management, food, technology, and ground support equipment.
GAAC holding also trained and employed more than 500 local people to operate the Airport. A range of Aviation service including ground handling, premium services, aviation security and air navigation services are lauched under the project.
The Company has already served 1.5 million passengers and handled more than 40,000 tons of cargo since it started its operation in the country. The contract signed with Afghanistan Government would run for 10 years and cover all the matters related to Airport operations.
After two years of GAAC services in Aviation sector of Afghanistan, the company announced that Afghanistan’s airports are now ready for all international and domestic flights in terms of safety, security and performance.

The contract is anticipated to help the Taliban emerge out of isolation as the country is already struggling with gaining proper recognition in International community after Taliban control.
