Chinese police arrested first suspect of allegedly using ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by AI. The suspect created fake news stories of train accident and spread it online.
The suspect named Hong was arrested by Gansu Province police for using the technology in bad means to spread false information, making it the first ChatGPT related arrest in the World.

Chinese police started the investigation on matter when they found the fake article of train accident killing more than 9 people on April 25th.
Blog-Style misinformation
The Hong Kong based South China Morning post reported that Cybersecurity officers in Kongtong country found the article shared by 20 different accounts, on Chinese search engine site Baidu.
The suspect is alleged with ‘picking quarrels and provoking trouble’ a charge that carries punishment of five years. But in case, if the results of quarrels are severe, the offender could sentence for 10 years and additional penalties.

After initial investigation police said that this fake article was originated from a company owned by the suspect Hong, which is also operating personal media platforms registered in Shenzhen region.
