Cut in Price of Gasoline

Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, announced a cut in the price of gasoline and high-speed diesel on Friday of 12.63 and 12.13 rupees per litre, respectively. 

At a news conference in Islamabad, the newly appointed finance minister said that the new prices would take effect at midnight tomorrow.

“The price of gasoline has been decreased by Rs12.63 to Rs224.80 per litre from Rs237.43. The cost of high-speed fuel has also decreased by Rs12.13. The price has been reduced from the previous Rs247.43 to Rs235.30, the minister announced. 

Kerosene oil’s New Price

Kerosene oil’s new price will be Rs. 191.83 after a Rs. 10.19 reduction, and light diesel oil’s price will be Rs. 186.50 after a Rs. 10.78 reduction. 

Dar said that a “deep discussion” with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif led to the decision to lower rates.
