Celebrations are witnessed all over Pakistan as it marks the day of Eid Milad un Nabi, which is historically enshrined as the birth of the last messenger of Allah, Holy Prophet Muhammad on September 17. People of Pakistan and the muslims around the world eagerly wait for the 12 Rabi-ul-Awal with great anticipation. On this day the streets, public places and houses are decorated with green lights which symbolises heaven. Religious sermons, conferences, processions, prayer ceremonies, milad gatherings, and many events are followed on the 12th Rabi ul Awal.
From the historical sources published by the International Islamic website confirms that the celebration of 12th Rabi ul Awal has been practised for centuries sacredly. In the beginning of the 7th century of the Hijri Calendar billions of rupees were spent on these festivities. It is stated in “Seerah al-Halabiya”, the biography of Prophet Muhammad that,
“Muslims have been celebrating gatherings of Mawlid Sharif in large cities for-long”.
On this auspicious day, a detailed traffic plan has been implemented for the three major processions. The first two processions will take place in the port city in the MA Jinnah road around 2.30 p.m. The third will commence at 3 p.m.

The gatherings will be monitored with the help of bodycam, drone cameras, and 4000 police officers who will check the passageways during the processions.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif have shared their greetings on the day of 12th Rabi ul Awal to the people of Pakistan. The teachings of the Holy Prophet have been highly spotted by both the personalities.
“The teachings of the Holy Prophet are a guiding light to overcome the prevailing challenges. Allah Almighty had set the Holy Prophet’s life as a rol;e model to guide every aspect of life. The Holy Prophet established a just society where every individual, regardless of their wealth or social status, could live with dignity. Today, as the world faces division and oppression, it’s imperative to spread the message of Prophet Muhammad, who embodied love, tolerance,and human rights. He treated all individuals, regardless of their faith, with respect and dignity.” said by President Asif Ali Zardari.
Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif stated, “The holy Prophet always taught to help the weak, orphans and the needy. On this occasion, we should also remember our oppressed Palestinian and Kashmiri brothers and sisters”.
