US Shows Support to Israel Amidst Hamas Attack

The United States sent an aircraft carrier and warships near Israel support during the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas. This move came after a conversation between President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

President Biden assured Israel of additional assistance and full support for its Defense Forces, with more help to follow in the coming days. They also talk about the importance of preventing anyone from taking advantage of the current situation.

President Biden expressed his full support for the Israeli government and its people in the face of the ongoing conflict with Hamas.  which he described as “unprecedented and appalling.”

Hamas accused the United States of participating in the aggression by moving the aircraft carrier closer to the region.

The recent conflict between Israel and Hamas has resulted in a significant loss of life, with over 600 lives lost on the Israeli side and at least 400 casualties reported in Gaza due to Israeli air strikes.

Prime Minister Netanyahu indicated that a long war could be ahead, with tens of thousands of Israeli forces deployed to deal with Hamas and the possibility of a ground offensive in Gaza.

This conflict has raised concerns about further escalation. Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement also fired shells and missiles at Israeli positions.

To reduce the rising tensions, the US Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin, said they’re sending more military ships to help keep the region safe. These ships include a big one called USS Gerald R. Ford, a special kind of ship called a guided missile cruiser and four ships that shoot guided missiles.

The United States is committed to providing additional equipment and resources, including munitions, to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). This shows that the United States really supports Israel and its military against Palestine.  They also asked other countries at the United Nations to strongly criticize Hamas for attacking Israel.
