Smart ID Card Fee Update in Pakistan – October 2024

The CNIC number also referred to as the 13 digit distinctive number is prominently displayed in the document. The Identity card is linked to essential information, including the date of birth of the person, demographic data, residence and biometric details. In recent years, the CNIC has become the primary means of identification and verification of details in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The authority issues a specific unique identification number and the data is securely protected facilitating easier access to govt schemes and welfare benefits.

The New Smart National Identification card processing fee per head is PKR 750 and for quick processing an extra fee of PKR 1500 is charged by the government. Other than these two, another type of card is issued in the executive category costing PKR 2500.

The number helps in the validation of Pak citizens during checking at the NDRA records.
