Eid ul Fitr is a very special festival celebrated by Muslims and everyone waits for it to be celebrated every year. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced that Eid ul Fitr, is likely to be on Wednesday, April 10 in Pakistan. They predict that the Shawwal moon, which marks the end of Ramadan, will be seen on April 9 across the country.

The PMD tells us that the new moon of Shawwal is expected to appear on the night of April 8 around 11:21 pm local time. On April 9, the moon will be about 19 to 20 hours old. People will be able to see it without any special tools for about 50 minutes after sunset. If the moon is sighted on April 9, then Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated the next day.

The Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, has also mentioned that Eid ul Fitr 2024 is likely to be on April 10. He explained that scientific observations suggest that the crescent moon of Shawwal will probably be seen on the 29th day of Ramadan this year.
