PML-N has announced that Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan on October 21
Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), is eager to return to Pakistan and is increasing political activities for his announced return to the country as he hopes to lead the party in the next general elections.
Nawaz Sharif has remained mostly quiet during the last few years and has only made occasional statements and speeches. However, now as the announced return date draws near, he has also increased interactions with party leaders and workers.
He recently spoke to party workers and leaders through video link. He told his party workers that he could not wait to return to Pakistan and take the lead of his party. He was also very vocal about the judiciary and the establishment of the time that ousted him from power. He also blamed them for the miseries of the country.
The meeting was attended by Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shehbaz, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervaiz Rashid, Khurram Dastgir, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Azma Bokhari and Rana Sanaullah as well as many ticket holders of the PML-N.
Nawaz Sharif also defended the party for taking charge of the country during the last 14 months and said that if the party hadn’t stepped up to the challenge, Pakistan would have defaulted and that meant miseries of the people would have increased. He said the party had risked its political capital for the sake of the country. He claimed that the party would win the next general elections despite the setback of the previous months.
