Mohammad Amir's big Statement for Babar Azam

Former Fast Bowler of Pakistani Cricket Team Mohammad Amir believes that there are a lot of issues in captaincy of Pakistani Cricket team. He also advised Pakistan Cricket Board to announce Babar Azam as captain for ICC World Cup to end the rumors’.

Amir said this statement on his Youtube channel, ‘It’s high time that the board should announce the captain with only three to four months left in the World Cup’.

He also said that, There is no reason to change the captain at this time. Board should follow the example they set after announcing the head coach. Babar is one of the best captain Pakistani Cricket team ever had.

He advised the Cricket Board to announce the name of captain officially to break the rumours as it is obly causing mess and chaos in the team and as well as fans.

World Cup under Babar’s Captaincy

Although PCB has not yet made any official announcement about the captain but PCB’ Management committee chairman Najam Sethi said in a recent interview that National Team will play the upcoming World Cup under the captaincy of Babar Azam.

‘We will play World Cup under Babar Azam. We will see and review after that. Babar did satisfactory captaincy against New Zealand. There will be a review process everytime and there is no danger to his captaincy till then. I called Babar and asked him to relax’, Najam Sethi added.

According to the sources, Najam Sethi, Chief Selector Haroon Rashid and Director Coaching Mickey Aurther have decided to repose trust in Babar for 2023 World Cup, he will also be seen as Captain in all series from run-up to mega events.

It is also informed that Babar has already been taken into confidence for this decision. However, PCB should announce the official statement as soon as possible to make it final.
