The dairy farms association of Pakistan decided to increase milk price as the production cost of milk also increased, the farms association decided to increase price Rs 280 per litre.
Recently a meeting was held between the administration and the dairy farm association to fix the milk price. The meeting ended without any results but dairy farms association is continuously pressurizing the administration to increase prices.

The dairy farm association told the administration that the production of milk is Rs 242 per litre. The dairy farmer pleads to increase the milk price up to Rs 280 per litre as the production cost has increased.
Unilateraly increased Milk prices
The Karachi Dairy and Cattle Farmers association has announced the unilateral increase in milk prices by Rs 20 per litre. The reason they give for an increase in milk prices is an increase in fuel prices.

The official rate of milk was fixed at Rs 180, but after the increase the price is now Rs 210 per litre. Recently, Commissioner Karachi also ordered the concerned authorities to carry out operations and seal dairy shops selling milk at high prices.
