Karachi Police Chief Issues Stern Warning Against New Year's Eve Aerial Firing

Reported by Ary News, the AIG Javed Alam Odho has declared strict action against aerial firing during New Year eve to welcome 2025. Police chief said that this will be addressed as attempted murder and the perpetrators will be arrested and taken to court.

In his argument, AIG Odho was quick to remind the public of the dangers that were demonstrated last year when 31 people had to be hospitalized through aerial firing during New Year celebrations in the port city. A number of persons were subsequently arrested for those infractions as evidencing the police’s continued efforts to ensure order. The police department has provided specific means through which people may report any cases of aerial firing, and assured the citizens help if the concerned parties call them in emergency.
