In a significant event, Justice Irfan Saadat Khan, who was serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, officially became a Supreme Court judge. The oath-taking ceremony was conducted on Friday and was administered by Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa.

The ceremony was attended by main and important personalities including judges from the Supreme Court, the attorney general and big  lawyers. This momentous occasion marks Justice Irfan Saadat Khan’s journey from the Sindh High Court to the apex court of the country.

Justice Irfan Saadat Khan’s nomination as a Supreme Court judge received unanimous approval from the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP). Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, who played a crucial role in the proceedings, emphasized that Justice Irfan Saadat Khan met all the necessary qualifications for this esteemed position. He says that Justice Khan has a wealth of knowledge, years of experience and commendable character, and held the most senior position among all the chief justices and judges of the high courts.

Justice Irfan Saadat Khan has had a long and dedicated career in the judicial system. He became the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court in March 2017 after starting as a judge in September 2009.
