According to website traffic monitoring site Similarweb, Elon Musk’s platform X, formerly Twitter, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing Meta’s facebook and instagram in terms of attracting web traffic. In June, X recorded an impressive 13.14 billion visits worldwide while facebook recorded 12.44 and instagram 5.798 billion visits respectively. This marks that X is more popular among the social media geeks.

In terms of unique visitors, X also dominated with 3.127 billion unique users in the month of June 2024. This figure is almost 3 times when compared to Facebook that had 1.050 billion unique visitors. The data underscores Twitter’s expanding influence in the social media landscape, highlighting its appeal to the broad and diverse audience. Musk’s vision for X appears to resonate with the global user audience as the platform continues to grow and set new benchmarks in online engagement and reach.
