Dr.Zakir Naik is a renowned and significant Islamic scholar whose work comparatively focused on preaching the religion. He is the founder of IRF- Islamic Research Foundation and a broadcasting network named “Peace Tv” which broadcasts his speech globally. He is extensively recognised for his public lectures and debates which captivates the minds of listeners through the discussions on various religious texts, topics related to Islam and other religions.
Dr.Zakir has arrived in Pakistan for a 10 day tour and he will visit several major cities which includes Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. He will be received by the Governor of Sindh Kamran Tessori, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab. In Karachi Dr.Zakir, is expected to meet important religious figures and deliver speeches in many places, one of them is Quaid-e-Azam mausoleum. He primarily visits Karachi from October 7 to 10, from there he travels to Lahore. His security has been handed over to SSU – Special Security Unit of Sindh police.
Dr.Zakir Naik’s visit aims to seize through his religious and Islamic talks both public and other government officials. Diverse venues which include religious institutions and universities are set to hold his thought provoking lectures. The 58-year old global persona left India in 2016, after he has been alleged with many controversies. Dr.Zakir currently resides in Malaysia where he has received the permanent residency, after the invitation from Pakistan for delivering his religious speech he has arrived in Pakistan. He is scheduled to meet Mufti Taqi Usmani, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Jamia Tur Rasheed and the head Mufti Abdul Rahim, the topmost religious scholars.

His visit lasts until October 28. Due to the controversies which swirl around him his security was handed to SSU. Dr.Zakir Naik’s visit is looked as a part of the efforts of Pakistan to reinforce the religious utterance which would create an impact among the youth and scholars.
