Bill Gates, Microsoft’s Co-founder is ready to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping during his visit to China, two people with knowledge of the matter informed. The meeting will be the first Xi Jingping’s meeting with a foreign private entrepreneur.
According to the sources, the meeting will be a one-on-one meeting between the private foreign entrepreneur and the President of China Xi Jinping.

Bill Gates tweeted that he had landed in Beijing for the first time since 2019 and that he would meet with partners who had been working on global health and development challenges with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Bill Gates stopped from the Microsoft work in 2020 to focus more on Philanthropic work related to global health, education and climate change. He quit his full-time executive role at Microsoft in 2008.
Earlier, Bill Gates met Xi Jinping in 2015 at Boao forum in Hainan province. In 2020, Xi Jinping wrote a letter to Bill Gates thanking him and Melinda Gates Foundation for helping China in fight against Covid-19.

Several other foreign CEOs visited China but most of them met government Ministers and not the President. Bill Gates is the one in many to have a one-on-one meeting with the President of China.
