Apple Will Replace Your iPhone Screens For Free
Do you own the Apple iPhone 11 and do you have a problem with a screen that makes it unresponsive? Fret not. Apple will replace it for you for free.
“Apple has determined that a small percentage of iPhone 11 displays may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module. Affected devices were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020,” the company said in a press release.
If your iPhone 11 has been exhibiting this issue, please use the serial number checker below to see if your device is eligible for this program. If so, Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will provide service, free of charge.
You need to go to the website and look up the serial number from where you will be directed to the process.
As per the Apple website, you can follow the mentioned service process: choose one of the options below to have your iPhone 11 serviced. Your iPhone will be examined prior to any service to verify that it is eligible for this program. Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
Make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store. Contact Apple Support to arrange mail-in service via the Apple Repair Center.
Apple however advises that before going for service, you need to backup your iPhone to iCloud or your computer.
Meanwhile, it also adds that if your iPhone 11 has any damage which impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the additional repair.
But there are some conditions. Apple may restrict or limit repair to the original country or region of purchase whereas this worldwide Apple program doesn’t extend the standard warranty coverage of the iPhone 11.
If you believe your iPhone 11 was affected by this issue, and you paid to repair your device, you can contact Apple for a refund.
The program covers affected iPhone 11 devices for two years after the first retail sale of the unit.
