Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) being celebrated across country

Pakistanis celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) across the country highlighting the importance of the prophet’s teachings.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) established the state of Madina with justice, fraternity, and equality [and it] remains a role model for the entire world, said PM Imran Khan in a message to the world.

The Eid is being celebrated with great religious zeal and fervour across the country on Friday.

The day dawned with thirty one guns salute at the federal capital and twenty one guns salute at all the provincial capitals, reported Radio Pakistan in a press release.

Special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity of the country were offered in the mosques after Fajr prayers.

Special conferences, events and Mehfil-e-Milad are being arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose life and teachings are a beacon of light for the whole mankind, it added further.

In connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW), a National Rehmatul-lil-Alameen (SAWW) Conference will be held in Islamabad today under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The opening session of the conference will be chaired by President Dr. Arif Alvi while Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over the concluding session, it added.

Prominent Ulema and Mashaikh, scholars and foreign delegates will participate in the Conference and threw light on various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW).

As part of the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) celebrations, the government has decided to observe Ishq-e-Rasool (SAAW) Week from tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also urged Pakistanis to draw from the Prophet’s (PBUH) legacy of humanity, humility and strength.

“Let us spread love and light wherever we go,” he said.

Moreover, Information Minister Shibli Faraz said that “Imran Khan has committed to making the country a welfare state by following in the footsteps of the state of Madina. A state where justice prevails and there is equality for all.”
