Pak Acting President Yousuf Raza Gilani speaks high of the country’s relationship with UAE

Pakistan acting president Syed Yousuf Raza Ghilani praised Pak UAE relations while speaking with the Ambassador of UAE Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi at the Aiwan e Sadr. 

Gilani applauded the vision of late Sheikh Zayed Tahnoun Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in building the economic infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates and extended heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of His Highness close family members, late Sheikh Tanoun bin Mohamed Al Nahyan and late Sheikh Hazza bin Sultan.

As the meeting progressed, the UAE ambassador to Pakistan stated that the bilateral relations between the two countries have been following an upward trend over the years. The UAE government has encouraged its companies to invest in Pakistan’s economy, in key sectors like communications, climate change and renewable energy, information technology, agriculture and tourism among many others. 

Along with this, the Ambassador stated that the Emirates is planning to  increase the number of flights to the different international airports of Pakistan so as to strengthen bilateral economic ties and facilitate travelling.

Pak acting President Gilani apprised ambassador Zabbi about the All Party Conference (APC) held on 7th oct 2024 to extend the consistent and unequivocal support to Palestine citizens. Additionally, visa difficulties for Pak citizens were also discussed and the ease of visa application and receiving process was discussed along with other ways of economic development.
