The Federal government of Pakistan has formed a high-profile committee for the decision over Pakistan National team participation in International Cricket Men’s World Cup 2023.

The World Cup is being hosted by India going to be held in October 2023, and the high-profile committee is headed by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The security and political issue between Pakistan and India remains unsolved for many years which is causing difficulty in the World cup as well as the Asia Cup which is scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan.
Will Pakistan back off from World Cup ?
The Cricket World Cup 2023featuring over 50 matches is going to be held in India this October but Pakistan Cricket Board is not satisfied yet to send Pakistani squad to India keeping in mind the political crises.
Taking into account the current situation, Prime Minister of Pakistan formed a high-level body to decide whether the country should send the national squad to India or not. The final recommendation will be sent to the Prime Minister for approval.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had also requested the government to ensure expected security on the five venues offered to Pakistan for World Cup matches. The ICC also issued a schedule for World Cup 2023 with Pakistan and India to play a thriller match on October 15, 2023.
