pm sharif orders independent audit of ramadan aid program

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif demands a third-party audit of all funds given in the Ramadan Relief Package. In his meeting on Monday with Islamabad officials the Prime Minister thanked NADRA State Bank and digital companies because they built excellent systems to deliver financial aid to eligible citizens.

PM Sharif stated that his Ramadan Relief Package reaches every corner of Pakistan without bias against Gilgit-Baltistan or Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He reported that the digital wallet system works well to transfer funds directly to the intended recipients of assistance. Officials told the meeting that 63% of qualified families have now received their money.

PM Sharif directed officials to use the digital payment system for other government relief programs after its impressive success. He asked telecom firms and banks to plan better promotion of relief money and show step-by-step information about distribution. The government uses digital distribution methods to improve Pakistan’s modern safety net systems.
