Pakistan Applauds Saudi Arabia’s Heat-Defying Hajj Heroics

It has been declared by the Government of Pakistan that they have stepped into the post-Hajj operations after the annual Hajj journey. One of these operations entails facilitating the establishment of ways through which Pakistani pilgrims can securely travel back to their country from Saudi Arabia. Mr. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was full of praises for the Saudi authorities saying that they have provided excellent arrangements, well-equipped accommodation, and generally comfortable facilities for the pilgrims while performing Hajj in this very hot period of the year.

Practical Things That Saudi Authorities Have Done Right

Speaking to the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Makkah during a consultation meeting, this was said by Minister Hussain who identified the government of Saudi Arabia to have done a very commendable job about the maximum accommodation of the comfort of the pilgrims. As he was complaining about the hot temperatures, he noted that the Saudi authorities had done that, and this had resulted in several steps being taken to prevent the impact of the hot weather.

Water sprinklers and beverage distribution are the other related products, but often it may be very difficult to determine the actual relationship between the two.

As one of the continuous measures mentioned by the minister, the government has adopted the introduction of amenities such as water sprinklers in different places. These sprinkler systems were most helpful and were very useful as most pilgrims could walk around in comfort from the scorching sun. Also, in this case, the Saudi authorities had provided soda water and food for the pilgrims to support them with cold water and other beverages all along the trip.

Mobile Health Units & dispensary

Minister Hussain also applauded the creation of mobile health units and other dispensaries in all sectors that had been covered for pilgrimage performers during hajj rituals. These contingents offered important services that helped maintain the good health of the pilgrims and come to their aid in the event of illnesses.

Responding to Outcomes and Enhancing Assistance

In ensuring that the hajj pilgrimage process and undertaking were effective, the minister discussed cases involving no Pakistani hajj assistants especially in Mine, Arafat, and Muzdalifah zone. He stated that the assistants were first positioned in some intersections and needed to move out of the way because of congestion. But as soon as things came back to normal, they were returned to the Pakistani pilgrims to lead them.

The implementation of the meeting also brought up the issue of having thorough training programs for those Officials and assistants of the Hajj Pilgrimage to control the transport of the people, avoid individuals losing their ways, and handle the very adverse weather conditions encountered during this period.

Hajj and the International Cooperation of Agencies that Assist Muslims
