The boss of the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra), General Munir Afsar, told a group of important people in the Senate that some of his workers have been helping people get fake ID cards. This is a problem because these fake IDs are used for all sorts of illegal stuff. The meeting was led by a Senator named Mohsin Aziz.

The Nadra boss said that they had punished about 84 workers for doing these illegal things. However he also said that the Workers sometimes don’t get in Trouble because there are no strong laws about Privacy.

At the same time in another Place the people who Control the Country’s phones (the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority or PTA) arrested five People in a joint Operation with the cops. These people were part of a company that sells phone connections and they were giving out illegal phone cards to Afghans.

They found out that the boss of this company was from Afghanistan, and he was selling these special phone cards for a lot of money. The PTA also took away some computers and phones with passport information on them. This was the 12th time they did something like this in a year.

Why are they being so strict about Afghans in Pakistan? It’s because there are more and more attacks happening, and lots of them involve people from Afghanistan. The people in charge have told the Afghans in Pakistan that they have to go back to their own country by November 1.

The folks who look after the country’s security are worried because they found out that out of 24 attacks, 14 were done by Afghan people. Also, out of 11 attacks on important military places, 8 of the people causing trouble were from Afghanistan. That’s why they want to make sure everything is safe.
