heatwaves alert pakistan to witness heat waves from 21st may
The severe hot weather is on its way to hit Pakistan. According to the experts, Pakistan will witness severe heat waves for the next 10 days. The experts have also stated that the northern parts of the country can be expected to witness rain, thunderstorms, and dust storms. According to the experts, the reason for severe hot weather is the high pressure in the upper atmosphere.
The places which are going to face these severe hot waves include Sindh and Punjab. The experts have warned the public that from 23 May to 27 May there will be severe heat waves. During heat waves, the temperature during the day will be higher than usual days. From 21 May to 27 May other places in Pakistan including Azad Kashmir, Balochistan, Islamabad, and Gilgit Baltistan will also witness heat waves.
Precautions to take during heatwaves in Pakistan
The Advisory Board of Pakistan has alerted the officials regarding the heat wave condition and has also asked people to take various measures during this severe hot weather.
1)Avoid Going Out In The Sun
It is advisable to stay at home during the heat waves to prevent any kind of unwanted health issue. Try not to go outside during the noon. If you do so, cover yourself with a cotton cloth and wear sunglasses.
2)Find Cool Shelters to Stay In
Try to stay at the ground levels of your home to prevent hot air from the fans which will help you to stay cool and protect you from the hot air.
3)Keep Yourself Hydrated
Keeping yourself hydrated during the summer is very important for an energetic day. Avoid drinking heavy drinks which will make you feel low.
4)Consume Light Food
During the heat waves try to consume light food with less oil and spices. Too many spices, oil, and salt can lead to problems like nausea, diarrhea, and blood pressure.
5)Prevent to Plan Outdoor Activities
Do not plan any outdoor activity during heat waves, try to move out of your houses in the evening to prevent catching heat.
6)Wear Light Clothes
Wear light clothes made of cotton and wear clothes of light colors which reflect the sun’s rays. Wear sunglasses and a hat to cover your head and eyes.
