Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer, Qasir Imam, argued in court that his client was accused of taking a bribe of Rs 5 million from a citizen. The accusation claims that Fawad Chaudhry promised a job to the person who bribed him.. However, Qasir Imam mentioned that he had never even seen this person who filed the complaint leading to an FIR against Fawad Chaudhry.

Earlier this year, an accountability court in Islamabad had rejected Fawad Chaudhry’s bail plea in a corruption case. The case was about Misappropriation in Construction projects in Jhelum. The judge who was presiding over the case, Nasir Javed, turned down the bail plea.
