The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) complained to the International Cricket Council (ICC) about bad behavior by fans during their World Cup 2023 match against India on October 14.

Indian cricket Fans at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium were reportedly acting rudely, especially towards the Pakistani players. Muhammad Rizwan, a key player, faced the brunt of this behavior. During the match against India, Indian fans taunted him with religious chants. This came after a previous complaint against Rizwan for praying during a game on October 6.

Rizwan had dedicated his performance to the people of Gaza, which had caused some controversy earlier. However, the ICC didn’t take any action against him, saying it was acceptable.

Besides fan behavior, the PCB also had concerns about visa delays for Pakistani journalists and the lack of a clear visa policy for Pakistani fans attending the World Cup 2023 in India. The PCB was disappointed that Indian visas for Pakistani fans and journalists were delayed. Even though the World Cup started on October 5. Some journalists only got their visas just before the match on October 14. Pakistani Cricketers, Pakistani journalists and Pakistani cricket fans face many difficulties from india.
