In a recent announcement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared that Asif Ali Zardari is likely to become the next President of Pakistan. This news was announced at a dinner which was hosted for leaders of allied parties. The Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that there would be strong coordination between him and Zardari after the upcoming election, scheduled for March 9.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that Asif Zardari would be the candidate supported by the allied parties in the presidential election. The coalition government, having secured a significant majority in the recent general elections, is optimistic about the outcome of the upcoming vote.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the economic challenges faced by Pakistan, PM Shehbaz Sharif also comparing them to the towering Himalayas. Despite the difficulties, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shows confidence that with dedication and sincerity we can solve these issues.

One major concern raised during the announcement was the negative economic indicators, including a circular debt of five trillion rupees in gas and electricity, electricity theft amounting to 500 billion rupees, and the debt of Pakistan International Airlines reaching 825 billion rupees.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shares the need to expand the country’s tax net To solve economic issues.  This shows that Pakistan’s tax-to-GDP ratio is significantly lower compared to neighboring countries.
