The point where the sun’s apparent path takes its north of the celestial equator and from which celestial longitude and right ascension are measured, lies in pisces and is known as the vernal equinox. The constellation only contains faint stars without starting grouping, the brightest star among them is the Eta Piscium having a magnitude of 3.6.

In Astrological terms, it is the last sign in the zodiac sign (12th in order). It is considered that it governs the period of February 19 to March 20. Its sign is two fishes tied together and is related to the Greek myth and folklore of Aphrodite and Eros, who jumped into a river to escape the monster Typhoon and transformed into fishes or alternatively the fishes carried the two to safety.
