ecp approves transfers and postings of 17 sindh officers
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has given its approval for the transfer and posting of 17 government officers in Sindh, as reported on Monday. The changes include Ghanor Leghari, who was appointed as the Human Settlement Authority secretary, transitioning from his role as DG Sindh Katchi Abadis Authority. Athar Hussain is now the DG Lyari Development, Tahir Sangi assumes the position of DG KDA with the role of Secretary Mines and Minerals, Ahmed Bakhsh Narejo is now the secretary for Women Development, and Zubair Pervaiz has been appointed as the DG for Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA).
Moreover, Muhammad Sharif takes charge as DG Gorakh Hill, Khalid Chachar becomes the Culture secretary, Anjum Iqbal Jamal is now the DG for Sindh Coastal Development, and Fayyaz Abbasi is appointed as the Energy secretary. Commissioner Sukkur, Sami Siddiqui, transitions to the role of Cooperative secretary, Akhtar Hussain Bugti becomes the DG Ombudsman, and Jalaluddin Mehar assumes the position of Home special secretary.

The ECP’s recent Series of Deputations and transfers have raised Concerns among its officers marking the third time such Changes have been implemented. In October, an additional 60 officers of the Election Commission of Pakistan were deputed and transferred. The Repeated shuffling of officers within the ECP has caused apprehension and Uncertainty among the staff.
