Tragedy Strikes: Six Lives Lost as Boat Capsizes near Khairpur

A joyful journey to attend a wedding turned into a nightmare as a boat carrying eleven passengers capsized near Nara Canal, resulting in the tragic loss of six lives, including children.  which leaves everyone sad.

The ill-fated boat was ferrying the passengers to a wedding celebration when the unexpected tragedy unfolded. The swift response of the local authorities and rescue teams, including the heroic efforts of Rescue 1122 divers, managed to save five of the passengers. The search to recover the bodies of the remaining six victims is still ongoing.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) offered assurance that the search operation would continue, despite being temporarily halted due to the challenges of searching in deep waters. The heartfelt condolences of the community go out to the grieving families who are enduring this painful loss.

Regrettably, this incident is not an isolated one. Just earlier, another boat capsized in Khairpur, in the area of Pir Goth. In this instance, a boat carrying eighteen passengers faced a similar misfortune, with two lives already lost and the remaining sixteen passengers missing. They were attempting to relocate to a safer location due to flooding in the Indus River.
