Today the court is all set to decide on the controversial “un-Islamic nikah”  between Former prime minister and  the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI Imran khan and his wife Bushra Bibi. The verdict will be delivered by Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah at 1 pm at Adiala jail, where the hearing took place for 14 hours the previous day.

The case Includes the bail plea filed by Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband, Khawar Maneka. Khawar Maneke  claims that the nikah between Imran Khan and Bushra is un-Islamic and illegal. The court has already completed the cross-examination of statements from four witnesses, including those of Khan and Bushra recorded under section 342.

Bushra Bibi, currently at Bani Gala under sub-jail status, will be brought to Adiala for the final hearing. The verdict will be announced in the presence of Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and their respective lawyers.

The complaint from Khawar Maneka alleges that the nikah was fraudulent as it took place during Bushra’s iddat, the waiting period following her divorce. This petition claims that the marriage was neither legal nor Islamic because  this nikkah happened in the time of iddat.

Maneka alleges that Imran Khan has disrupted his life, asserting that the PTI leader damaged his reputation and family by intruding into his peaceful marital life in pursuit of unethical goals.

In his plea to the court, Maneka requests the summoning and strict punishment of both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in accordance with the law for the sake of justice. The case has drawn substantial public interest, and the forthcoming court decision holds the potential to influence the lives of those implicated and may establish important legal precedents for similar situations in the future.
