The UAE, EC, Cyprus, US, and UK join forces, supporting a maritime corridor to provide essential aid to Gaza

In Response to the Dire Humanitarian Situation in Gaza a Groundbreaking joint effort has been initiated by The UAE, the European Commission, Cyprus,  the US and the UK. With innocent Palestinian Families and Children in Desperate Need, the Leaders of these Nations have Come Together to Endorse the Activation of a Maritime Corridor aimed at Delivering Critical Humanitarian Assistance to Gaza.

The impetus for this Collaborative Endeavor Comes from Cyprus, where the Amalthea Initiative was Established, Providing a Secure Mechanism for Shipping aid from Cyprus to Gaza via the Sea. The Participating Nations are Committed to Building on this initiative, Working Closely with UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, who plays a Crucial role in Facilitating, Coordinating, Monitoring and Verifying the flow of aid into Gaza under UN Security Council Resolution 2720.

The United Arab Emirates has Played a Pivotal Role in Mobilizing Support for the initiative ensuring the initial Shipment of food by Sea to the People of Gaza. The Collaborative Efforts of Cyprus, the UAE and other involved nations aim to accelerate the Maritime Channel to Supplement Existing land and Air Routes, including those from Egypt and Jordan.

The United States, in a Significant Move has Announced an Emergency Mission led by the U.S. Military to Establish a Temporary pier in Gaza. This Operation Conducted in Coordination with Humanitarian Partners and other Countries will Facilitate the Delivery of Substantial Quantities of assistance by Sea Closely Coordinated with the Government of Israel.
