The Lahore High Court allowed the market to extend its opening hours during Ramadan

The Lahore High Court has decided that markets can remain open till midnight during Ramadan. This decision was taken by Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court during a meeting related to anti-smog measures.

According to the decision, the markets can remain open till 12 midnight from Monday to Friday and till 1 am on Saturday and Sunday. The court has asked the restaurants to provide a parking plan. It was noted that the restaurant has small parking areas, but their dining areas are quite large.

The court also talked about an incident where a restaurant Owner allegedly Misbehaved with the staff of the Judicial Commission. Justice Shahid Karim said that the court is working for the welfare of the people and appealed to all for cooperation.

During the meeting it was mentioned that a cleanliness drive is going on in Tolento Market. It was highlighted that trucks carrying dead chickens arrive at the Tolento market in the morning and this chicken meat is used in shawarmas.
