SBCA recorded the maximum number of legal formalities for 1,500 constructions for Sindh province in 2024. The said initiative was being managed under the supervision of the Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani and the experience was as follows: A record implementation has been made in all the seven districts in Karachi and other provinces of the country.
Speaking at a news conference SBCA Director General Abdul Rasheed Solangi noted that the authority has been keen on deporting unauthorized construction thus leading to suspensions of some officers and further investigations. The organization also brought in new features such as the use of QR codes at construction sites for better and easier explanation and a one-window approval system which fast-tracked 2,652 building plans across sectors.
In this regard, the Technical Committee pinpointed 743 unsafe constructions province-wide, 591 of them in Karachi. On internal issues, the authority also came up with milestones by promoting 72 of its staff members and bringing back its Hajj programme. Working together with ABAD, SBCA began the beautification of Shahrah-e-Faisal and plans to expand such projects to the Korangi Industrial Area.
