punjab gears up for heavy rain with emergency plans in place
The weather people in Punjab are telling everyone to get ready for some heavy rain. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert because they think there will be a lot of rain from March 11 to 14.
The PDMA folks are saying that after the rain, it’s going to get really cold. So, everyone needs to be careful, especially in the hilly areas, because the rain might mess up transportation there.
The spokesperson for PDMA is saying that all the important people in charge need to be on high alert all the time. They’re telling everyone to be careful so that no one gets hurt and nothing gets damaged during the rainy days.
The boss of PDMA, Mr. Imran Qureshi, is telling all the departments to be super responsible and ready for anything bad that might happen because of the rain. He wants them to take care of everything and make sure people are safe.
Before this, on March 6, another group called the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) also warned everyone about weird weather coming. They said there might be rain and snow in different parts of the country.
