pdma punjab issues rain warning during eid ul fitr celebrations
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab (PDMA) has issued a warning about upcoming rain during the days of Eid ul Fitr, which are from 10th to 15th April. This means that people need to be prepared for possible rain showers and storms during this festive time.
The PDMA says that rain is expected to fall in different districts of Punjab, with breaks in between, starting from 10th April due to a weather system called a westerly wave. Places like Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad,Rawalpindi, Attock and Chakwal are likely to experience rainfall on 10th and then again from 12th to 15th April. Additionally, cities such as Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Multan may also see rainfall on April 12.
There’s also a possibility of isolated windstorms or hailstorms from 13th to 15th April, according to the Director General of PDMA.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is expected in various districts during the same period.
Moving to Balochistan, several districts including Quetta, Kalat, Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, and others may experience rain with wind or thunderstorms from 12th to 14th April.

In Sindh, cities like Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Qambar Shahdad Kot, Jamshoro, and Sanghar are expected to have rain with wind or thunderstorms on 13th and 14th April. Karachi and Hyderabad might also see isolated rain during this time.
