Apple’s Vice President of iPhone Worldwide Product Marketing, Kainn Drance said,
Apple iPhone is known for its secured mobile tech which insists users get updated with the new launch in their mobile series. Apple has launched its 16 series, with better features, and performances. To buy this technically sound gadget the people of Pakistan need to pay additional taxes which is higher than the actual price. For higher-end models, the iPhone 16 Pro Max faces a PTA tax of PKR 148,500 with a passport and With a CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card), the price becomes PKR 176,000.

These additional taxes are a part of the PTA’s regulatory framework to increase revenue and support local industries by cutting down the import of foreign phones. They indirectly emphasize their people to think deeply before considering an iPhone 16 series for purchase.
