imran riaz khan safely recovered after months of disappearance
Popular anchor and YouTuber Imran Riaz Khan, who had been missing for nearly five months, has finally been found and reunited with his family. This uplifting news was confirmed by Sialkot District Police Officer Hassan Iqbal.
Imran Riaz Khan was taken into custody on May 11 following nationwide protests sparked by the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan. He was released from jail on May 12 after giving a written undertaking, as reported to the Lahore High Court (LHC) on May 15.
However, his whereabouts remained unknown, leading to great concern and legal actions. His father filed a First Information Report (FIR) on May 16, alleging that his son was kidnapped by unidentified individuals, including police officials, under Section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The LHC was deeply involved in the case, repeatedly urging law enforcement agencies to locate and present Imran Riaz Khan before the court. Different intelligence agencies were also asked for help in the search, but no progress was reported. Everyone was curious what happened to him and where he disappeared.
After months of uncertainty and worry, the Punjab police chief was given a final chance by the LHC to find Imran Riaz Khan by September 26. Thankfully, this effort bore fruit, and the anchorperson has now been safely recovered.
