Imran Khan is a famous person in Pakistan. He turned into a splendid cricket participant. He became the captain of the Pakistan cricket group once they won the World Cup in 1992. After he stopped playing cricket, he made his very personal political party called PTI. He is now a VIP in Pakistan.
When Imran Khan played cricket, he became very famous in Pakistan. Many humans cherished him because he became one of the excellent players. Later, when he joined politics, his cricket fans also became his supporters for politics.

Secret Documents Case and Jail Time
Imran Khan was the leader of Pakistan. He says he has secret papers. The papers show Pakistan’s army and the US government planned to remove him as leader in 2022. This was after he visited Russia, before the Russia-Ukraine war.
Expensive Gifts Case and 14-Year Sentence
On Wednesday, Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Khan were given 14 years in jail. This was for illegally selling expensive gifts that Khan received as prime minister from 2018 to 2022. The gifts included jewelry, watches, perfumes, and dinner sets worth over $500,000.
The government says Khan’s helpers secretly sold these gifts in Dubai. Khan says he legally bought the gifts by paying for them, which was allowed. But the court decided that Khan and his wife did something corrupt with the gifts.
Land Bribery Allegations
In 2022, Khan was arrested for four days. He was accused of taking a bribe in the form of valuable land worth $25 million. The bribe allegedly came from a British property owner facing money laundering charges.
Prosecutors claim Khan helped the property owner avoid fines in exchange for the free land for Khan’s charity called Al-Qadir Trust. But Khan’s team says the land was legally donated to the charity.
Terrorism Charges Over Violent Protests
Khan also faces very serious terrorism charges. This is because of violent protests against Pakistan’s military that happened after his arrest in May 2022 related to the Al-Qadir case. The terrorism charges mean Khan could potentially get the death penalty.
However, Khan denies doing anything related to the protests. He says he was already in jail when the violence occurred, so he could not have caused it. His supporters are very angry about these charges.
As more and more cases are filed against him, Imran Khan has a tough battle ahead to prove his innocence and possibly return to politics. Over 150 cases have been started against him since he was forced out as prime minister. While in jail, Khan insists he is not guilty and will keep fighting the charges.
