bushra bibi seeks medical examination at shaukat khanum hospital
Bushra Bibi, the wife of imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has requested a medical examination at Shaukat Khanum Hospital. The request was made to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) by Shoaib Shaheen on behalf of Bushra Bibi. She believes she was poisoned while in the Banigala sub-jail and wants to be examined at Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
This demand from Bushra Bibi comes after PTI demanded that her medical examination be conducted at Shaukat Khanum Hospital. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, a PTI leader, stated that they will only accept medical reports issued by a personal physician from that hospital.
Previously, a medical report from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Science (PIMS) found no evidence of poisoning during Bushra Bibi’s time at the Bani Gala sub-jail. The report mentioned that her appetite was abnormal and she was experiencing stomach pain.
Imran Khan’s personal physician, Dr. Asim Yousuf, also examined Bushra Bibi and found no evidence of poisoning.
