The relationship between the two nations, Pakistan and USA has an elaborated and complex history which is developed through various factors which includes cooperation, tension and changes since 1947. Both the countries are keen in seeking a balanced relationship which plays a vital part in regional security and global stability. During a ceremony which took place at Blair House, Washington the Pakistan Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh gave a letter of credence to the US President Joe Biden. This letter signifies that he is on his official diplomatic mission.
Ambassador Rizwan Sheikh expressed the gratitude and greetings of Pakistan’s PM, President and the citizens for the ongoing investments in climate change, health, trade, and investment. He also highlighted that Pakistan is open to welcoming the investments from the US in the sectors like green technology, energy, industry, higher education, and digital platforms. The pivotal aim of this ceremony is to strengthen and intensify the relationship of Pakistan and US through increased collaboration in both security and non-security areas.
US President Joe Biden also underscores the ties which is very essential for global stability.
“It signifies more than 75 years of friendship between our nations and our enduring commitment to economic engagement, security cooperation, people-to-people ties, and cultural exchange. The enduring partnership between our countries is crucial for global and regional stability. We appreciate US-Pakistan cooperation on countering terrorist threats” said President Biden during the ceremony.
