Australia Implements Stricter Visa Rules to Tackle Migration Surge and Rental Market Pressures. Australia is making it harder for students from other countries to get visas. This is because too many people are coming to live in Australia, and it’s causing problems with finding places to rent.

Starting this week Students and Graduates who want to study in Australia will need to be better at speaking English. Also, schools that keep breaking the rules about bringing in international Students may get Stopped from doing it.

The person in charge of immigration in Australia, Clare O’Neil, says these changes are part of their plan to fix the immigration system. They want to make sure that people who come to Australia to study are really coming to learn, not just to work. They are going to introduce a new test to check if students are genuine about studying. They will also put stricter rules on some visitor visas to stop people from staying longer than they should.

Last year the Australian government changed some rules that had been relaxed because of COVID-19. They did this to reduce the number of people coming into the country. They were worried that too many people coming in could cause problems.

Many people came to Australia in 2022 because of the job Opportunities. But this made it Harder to find places to rent because there were so many people looking for Homes.

The number of people moving to Australia reached a record high of 548,800 in 2023. This caused the population to grow very quickly, reaching 26.8 million People.

Most of the new people moving to Australia were Students from Countries like India, China, and the Philippines. While this helped to fill job vacancies, it also made it harder for people to find somewhere to live because there weren’t enough Houses available.
