What Happened at Khosa’s House

According to Khosa’s wife, Benish Iqbal, some people came to their house on August 14. They took Khosa with them. All this time, the family was getting anxious about him. When Khosa returned home, he seemed tired but healthy. He informed a news reporter that he was well but did not wish to discuss his whereabouts and what had happened during those days of disappearance.

Similar Incidents in the Past

Sometimes, people in Pakistan go missing for some days. Early this year, a poet called Ahmed Farhad was missing for some days. Later, police said they had arrested him. These incidents worry some lawyers and human rights workers. They say the person breaking a law should be taken to court within 24 hours. They want the government and courts to help stop such incidents from happening.

Aun Ali Khosa’s short disappearance and recovery worked to remind people of the plight of missing persons in Pakistan. People expect some concrete steps might be taken in the future so such bad things may not occur and everyone is safe.
