pakistans new space satellite makes internet better
Thursday, Pakistan launched a new satellite called PAKSAT MM1 from China. This is the second satellite Pakistan has launched in just one month! The satellite was sent into orbit from a launch center in China’s Sichuan province. China’s news agency Xinhua reported the launch went well. They said the satellite made it safely into its planned orbit high above Earth.
Satellite Will Help Daily Life and Business
Prime Minister Sharif said the new satellite will make daily life easier for all Pakistanis. It will also help businesses, online shopping, and digital government work better. He said PAKSAT MM1 will help move Pakistan forward by using modern technology to benefit the people.
Partnership with China Made it Happen
Sharif thanked China for partnering with Pakistan on this satellite launch. He said “Launching from China shows the strong cooperation between our countries. Working together like this will help move our nation forward and use technology to benefit our people.”
A Big Science Achievement
The Prime Minister said putting PAKSAT MM1 into its orbit 36,000 kilometers above Earth is an “impressive feat.” It shows how advanced Pakistan’s science and technology abilities are.
Part of Pakistan’s Big Space Plans
Pakistan’s space agency Suparco said PAKSAT MM1 is part of Pakistan’s bigger Space Programme planned for 2047. Pakistan worked with China’s aerospace experts to build this satellite to improve Pakistan’s communication and internet needs.
Launching Rockets from Pakistan Coming Soon
Pakistan’s Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal was at the launch in China. He said “Soon we will launch satellites on our own rockets from Pakistan’s Space Launch Center. Congratulations Pakistan!” This means Pakistan will launch satellites itself from inside Pakistan using Pakistani rockets.
Building on Recent Successes
Just last month on May 3rd, Pakistan’s small ‘iCube-Qamar’ satellite was launched by China to study the moon. That satellite has already sent back the first-ever pictures of the moon’s surface taken by Pakistan. With six satellites now in space, Pakistan is becoming an important space nation.
The new PAKSAT MM1 satellite is a big step for better internet, TV, and phones in Pakistan. It shows Pakistan’s growing partnership with China in space activities. Most importantly, it is improving Pakistan’s technological abilities as part of bigger plans for exploring space in the future.
