Shahbaz Qalandar Shrine Manager Suspended for Alleged Gold Theft

In a surprising turn of events, the manager of the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine, Zubair Baloch, has been suspended by the Caretaker Sindh Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Mohammad Umer Soomro. The suspension comes in the wake of a shocking revelation that gold, estimated to be worth Rs12.37 million, has gone missing from the shrine’s offering box over the past month.
Without delving into the specifics of how the theft occurred or when it was discovered, a spokesperson for Minister Soomro announced on Friday that Zubair Baloch had previously admitted to the theft before an inquiry committee. The Anti-Corruption Establishment has been tasked with conducting a thorough investigation to recover the stolen gold.
